Products
Integrated chimney fire extinguisher
All steel chimneys that have been exposed to chimney fire need to be replaced. This extinguisher has been specially developed to extinguish steel chimney fires before damages occur, making it a reasonable insurance against costly renovations. Ships Q4 2024.
Retrofittable chimney fire extinguisher
This extinguisher can be retrofitted on most chimneys. If your chimney has a steel cap, it is simply fastened with a magnet. If your chimney has a stone crown, the fastening is done with patent tape. Launching Q2 2024.

Technology
the fire extinguisher (A) is a mechanical device that doesn’t require electronics or batteries. It is triggered by the onset of a chimney fire.
The transmitter (B) communicates with the alarm unit (C), which sounds an alarm in the house and triggers a notification on the house owner’s mobile phone.
How it works
Safi®s automatic chimney fire extringuisher is easier to install than a smoke detector. It is simply fastened to the chimney with a magnet and double sided tape. For those who wish it, we can offer installation by one of our local installers in Norway and Sweden.

The results have been sensationally positive. The Safi® technology is protected by patent in Noway, and international patent is pending.
Robust technology
Safi®s automatic chimney fire extringuisher is a user friendly «plug and play» solution consisting of a 13 cm long mechanical, a transmitter and an and alarm unit. It is installed without the need for drilling in the existing chimney, and doesn’t require maintenance until after 6 years of use.

High energy costs have led to an increase in the use of firewood as a domestic heat source. This has resultat in a surge in the number of chimney fires. There are approximately 2.5 million chimneys in Norway, almost 5 million chimneys in Sverige and about 2 million in Finland.
